Day 18, Smoke + Sun = Beauty

It's that time of year when the mixture of smoke from wildfires, clouds, and living on the prairie, make a beautiful sunset.

Greenbluff Barn, Day 16

While up at Greenbluff, I ended up on a wrong road, or "shortcut" as my dad calls them.  Dad's "shortcuts" usually end up taking longer, as did mine.  However, as I was driving in unknown territory, I found some really neat things to take pictures of along the way so it was a happy detour!

Day 8

New Challenge

This coming week, I am going to focus on plants/flowers.  I can tell by the change in the night air that Fall is quickly approaching, so need to capture those flower images while they are still pretty.

Please, at anytime, join in and share your photos.  I love to see others works, so please join me in this photo venture.

Happy snapping!

Old barn, Day 6

Old buildings always have a lot of character to me.  I love to find them along my journeys.  This one is around the Washington/Idaho state line.

Family, Day 5

Family, life and heart, love and laughter.  Building legacies, living for Christ.  Cherish your family, as I do mine.

I had an aunt and uncle pass away in three days this past week, so that is why I posted this picture.  Family, people matter, show them that, and love them.

Nieces Self Portrait...day 3

I did not take this picture.  My six year old niece took this self portrait with my camera.  She grabbed my camera from my lap, took a few shots of grandma and grandpa, then quickly turned the camera on herself and snapped, as she giggled.  This is the result.

Double Dose, Day 2

Because I got a double dose of fawns while out on a drive, I am posting two pictures today.  They are so cute!  Love the twins.  They kept hiding behind a blade of grass, thinking I couldn't see them.

First Week

So, for the first week, I am doing the obvious theme...SUMMER.  Please join me and blog some pictures about your summer this week!

New Venture

I have been thinking of ways to challenge my photography a bit.  I take a lot of pictures, which anyone who knows me can tell you!  I love photography, it's my stress reliever.  I have been thinking about doing something different, something intentional.  I decided to start this blog site and do a picture a day for a year.  I would love for you to join me in the journey and see what type of fun pictures we can capture, and what type of special memories we can create.  I think it will be fun to look back over a year of pictures.  If you can only do a picture a week, that's great, too, but at least you are creating some type of photo memory, or photo journal.

If you would like to join me, join at any time!  Please send me a link to  your blog, so we can create a network of photo blogs, and see what our photo journals show us throughout the year.

I am going to post one theme a week, if you want to participate in that theme.  If not, I am sure you can come up with your own ideas.  I will also post other meaningful things that help me to remember that week.

I think this will be fun, challenging, and will help me to work on my photo skills as I stretch to capture something different than my normal pictures.
